Our name is a reminder that inspiration lives in real life: the funny, demanding, unpredictable moments and the people who make them memorable. Welcome to the Department.

DRL takes inspiration from the meeting that could have been an email, the urge to disappear into the woods, a playful character, a bold idea and the quiet satisfaction of doing things your own way.

Some designs are playful. Others are understated, sarcastic or a little rebellious. What connects them is a simple idea: art can express a mood, start a conversation or help you feel more like yourself. Our clothing gives that expression a place in your everyday wardrobe.

We make space for different personalities and stages of life, with styles across our Men, Women, Unisex and Kids collections. You do not have to fit one label to connect with the art.

The creativity behind the clothing

Graphic design is at the heart of DRL. Our founder’s creative background shapes the brand’s approach: begin with a thought worth expressing, explore how it looks and feels, and develop it into something people can wear in real life.

Our process is human-led and can include AI-assisted creative tools. The direction, selection and decisions remain guided by the people behind the brand. We care about the idea behind a design, not simply filling another shirt with another graphic.

Made to order, made for your everyday

We work with our fulfillment partner, Printful, to produce and fulfill our made-to-order apparel. When you place an order, your chosen design, garment, colour and size are used to prepare your piece.

Made to order means production is part of your order’s journey, before delivery begins. Production and shipping times can vary by product and destination, so please review the product information and our shipping policy before ordering. International shipping is available to supported destinations.

Fit is personal. Check the size guide and garment details for the specific item you are considering rather than assuming every style fits the same way. Different garments can have different measurements, fabric compositions and finishes.
